Linda Green

Linda Green is an internationally respected textile artist who has exhibited in many parts of the world including Japan and the USA as well as widely in Britain. She has been the recipient of awards from the Theo Moorman Trust for Weavers, the Inches Carr Trust and Creative Scotland. She is an artist member of the Society of Scottish Artists and Visual Arts Scotland.

Her work ­is ­unique­ and­ diverse,­ exploring­ and­ developing­ creative­ ideas ­through­ a­ range­ of ­ textile­ materials­ and­ influences.­ Her­ interest­ in­ order­ and­ random­ processes­ are explored­ taking­ inspiration ­from ­things­ as­ diverse­ as ­plant life,­ geometry­ and­ the­ cosmos.

­A­ strong­ aesthetic­ sense­ and­ attention­ to­ detail,­ results­ in­ award-winning­ extensive­ solo­ shows,­ invited­ group­ exhibitions­ and­ to­ site-specific ­installations.­ Her­ creative alchemy­ of­ bringing­ together­ disparate­ materials ­of­ varying texture­ and­ colours ­provides­ a­ creative­ edge­ evident­ in ­all her­ artworks.
