Brita Granström
Brita Granström was born in Sweden and settled in the UK in 1994 after gaining an MFA in Fine and Graphic Arts at Konstfack in Stockholm. Her Nordic roots are evident in her Intimist paintings. At times playful, her interiors and landscapes nevertheless have a pensive, sometimes haunting quality that touches on something beyond the narrative nature of the subject.
Brita lives between the North of England and a house in Sweden that she designed herself. She also exhibits with the Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh and Thompson’s Galleries in London and Aldeburgh. Examples of her work can be found in both the British and Swedish national art collections.
