This year, we are delighted to be able to exhibit some examples of embroidered cushions by the Swedish folk artist Kristina Granström.

Kristina grew up in rural Sweden and is influenced by folk art traditions as well as decorative artists such as Charles Rennie Mackintosh. She embroiders her cushions in a spontaneous and organic process, often using locally made hand-woven fabrics and yarns, they are bold, idiosyncratic and richly textured.
