Margaret Morris – Christmas Exhibition 2011

_Born in 1941, Margaret studied at Harrogate College of art from 1960 -62 and took up her studies again at York College of Art in 1994 going on to the degree course at Bradford College of Art, she completed her MA in printmaking in 1999.
Her paintings and prints are based on observations of landscape, which focus on feelings, emotions and personal attachment to a particular place; choice of place plays a central role. This focus has now broadened to encompass notions of the journey, the space between places and the experience between departure and arrival.  This touches on the more haunting theme of dislocation, which was central to her theoretical discourse during the M.A, Course at Bradford College
