John Maltby – Christmas Exhibition  24 Nov - 2 Dec 2012

Picture

John Maltby is recognised worldwide as one of Britain’s finest ceramic artists. Born in 1936, he studied sculpture at Leicester and Goldsmith’s College, London and worked with David Leach at his pottery before establishing his own workshop in 1964.

He initially made domestic ceramics but since the mid seventies he has made only individual pieces. His work is represented in many ceramic collections including the V&A in London. We have shown his work at Godfrey & Watt for 25 years.

We are grateful to Nigel Dutt for the photograph of John at work.

Thank you to all of our customers who have made this show such a success.
These are some of the pieces that were included in our exhibition. All of the work is now sold.
If you have an enquiry please contact Alex Godfrey using the 'Contact Us' page,  or send an email to mail@godfreyandwatt.co.uk.
