Alan Turnbull- Christmas Exhibition 2011

_Alan Turnbull studied Fine Art at Newcastle University and continued his studies with an MA at Chelsea College of Art. He graduated in 1979.
In the mid 1990s he began making prints and etching now forms a large part of his work. See artist biography and more work
Each print is an etching with drypoint and mezzotint printed as chine-colle. The image of the tree is derived from a painting of a Mulberry Tree by Van Gogh. The chine-colle elements consist of original hand-painted botanical engravings dating from 1770
